As the Assistant Manager Mechanical, you will be at the forefront of managing mechanical operations crucial to the success of our shipyard. Your responsibilities will encompass:
Leadership and Supervision: Provide strong leadership to a team of skilled mechanical technicians, ensuring their productivity, safety, and adherence to quality standards.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with various departments, including production, engineering, and quality assurance, to coordinate and streamline mechanical operations.
Safety and Compliance: Conduct routine inspections and audits to ensure strict adherence to safety protocols and industry regulations. Champion a safety-first culture within the mechanical team.
Planning and Scheduling: Develop and implement strategic plans for maintenance activities, including scheduling tasks for ships and machinery. Ensure optimal resource utilization.
Technical Expertise: Serve as the go-to resource for troubleshooting and providing technical support for mechanical challenges. Oversee the resolution of complex mechanical issues.
Record Keeping and Documentation: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, schedules, and reports. Ensure all documentation is up-to-date and easily accessible.
Best Practices Implementation: Implement and enforce best practices in mechanical operations, continuously seeking opportunities for process improvement and optimization.
Procurement Support: Participate in the procurement process for mechanical equipment, spare parts, and supplies. Collaborate with the procurement team to ensure timely acquisition.
